Have you ever been in a situation where you heard an awesome song in a café or a club and wanted to know its name? Sometimes you had a friend who knew it, or you were able to identify a few lyrics to Google later.
Identify songs instantly
In other cases, you just had to try and forget about it, hoping you might hear it again somewhere else. Shazam for Android takes care of exactly this problem. It is a free Android app for music recognition. You simply launch it, and it uses your phone's microphone to listen to the song playing nearby.Detailed track information
After the song is recognized, it displays pretty much everything about it: the title, artist, album, lyrics, a video (if available), and similar tracks or other songs by the same artist. A history of your recorded tags is kept, as well as the other songs you discover by browsing.Massive library and accuracy
Its database is huge, recognizing everything from the modern scene and old classics to fairly known local tracks by not-so-popular artists. The audio matching is also highly accurate, and you will be amazed at just how well it is able to recognize songs despite the noise around you.Streaming integration and Auto Shazam
You can choose to be redirected to directly play the song on connected services like Apple Music, Spotify, or YouTube Music, so that you can enjoy the track instantly or save it for later. Another cool feature is Auto Shazam, which is constantly working in the background and tagging songs around you. It is a highly convenient tool, but it will drain your battery faster and probably pick up more songs than you actually want.
